I joined Humane Haven in July of 1999.  There weren’t  too many volunteers at that time, so even tho I wanted to work with cats I also walked dogs.  Eventually, I got to work only with cats & I still do that.  My current roles at Humane Haven are Secretary on the board of directors and Feline Coordinator.  I pick up cats/kittens from Animal Control, take them for check-ups, show them to possible adopters, and adopt them to their ‘forever families’.
