The June 2018 edition of For The Love of Animals is now available online courtesy of Bolingbrook Community Television Channel 6!  On this month’s show we are introducing five adoptable cats as well as sharing another visit with Dave DiNaso of Dave’s Traveling World of Reptiles! (1-888-SLITHER)! At the start we want to recognize the gifts of Girl Scout Daisy Troop 75437. Dave will introduce us to Prism, a Brazilian rainbow boa constrictor, while talking about the importance of having a proper understanding of being a responsible and safe reptile owner.

This month you will meet our adoptable kitties Cadberry, Ernie, Sweet Baby Ray, Morris, and Beanie. Kathy and Carol will also share the importance of making sure your pet is microchipped. To highlight the importance of microchips, we have the story of Will Feral (“Midnight,” to his family). Will / Midnight was an injured kitty who came into our shelter through Bolingbrook Animal Control. after life-saving surgery, we ultimately we were able to reunite him with his family because his microchip was flagged by the registration company as being a lost pet. HHAS feels that it is very important to keep your companion’s information up to date so they can have a happy reunion like the one we celebrated with Will / Midnight.

In this installment we will also share the importance of reporting feral or lost animals, and we extend to you our invitation to ask questions and advice about the companions who matter in your life.

We hope that you will enjoy this episode of For The Love of Animals and we are eager to see you here again for next month’s show!
