Our Mission

Humane Haven Animal Shelter (HHAS) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that has dedicated itself to the preservation and protection of the pets of our communities, serving as their voice, through placement of homeless pets in compatible loving homes and providing pet care awareness and education.

About Us

HHAS was founded by Carlotta and Kathy.  Lifetime animal lovers, experienced in working with national and local animal rescue groups and humane societies. Their dream became to provide a safe haven for their communities’ homeless pets, where the pets remain, with great effort put into ensuring their care and happiness until their forever family is found.  HHAS believes that together with support of other caring people in the communities, that we can help to reduce pet overpopulation, abuse and neglect.

Adoption Interview Hours are on Wednesdays from 5-7 PM. and Sundays from 1-3 PM (no adoption hours are held on holidays):

CAT Adoption Interview Hours are held at the Bolingbrook PetsMart,159 N. Weber Rd. (South of Boughton Rd.) Available cats can be seen thru their Plexiglas cage fronts during store hours—the cats will be watching you too!

DOG Adoption Interview Hours are held at the VCA Bolingbrook Animal Hospital, 570 Concord Lane, Bolingbrook, IL 60440 (1/2 mile north of Boughton Rd on Royce Rd, Just west of Rte. 53).
