HOLY POOP ! And special thanks to Tim Rusk and Scout Troop 35 for raising 12,000 pounds (yes, that is 12,000) of cat litter for Humane Haven. Great job on your Eagle Scout project Tim. For sure, our cats will deeply appreciate it. We figure it should take them almost a year o use it all.
A special thanks to the students at Humphry Middle School and Builta Elementary School for all the WONDERFUL STUFF they donated to our pets. Without their help, and so many others, our animals would have a very tough time. Thank you so much.
WHAT A GREAT IDEA ! Principle Ron from Brooks Middle School came up with the idea of contributing to the care of HHAS pets by presenting Xmas stockings to all his teachers. The proceeds from the purchase of the stocking went to HHAS amounting to $1000. Appropriately, their team name is the Bulldogs. Many of his teachers told him it was the best gift they ever received knowing that the money spent on the gift was actually a donation for HHAS Thanks so much Principle Ron, and here's lickin' at ya !
WOW ! Look at all that petfood. Thanks to Dan Nimmer's Eagle Project. Can you believe it ? Thanks a million Dan, and a whole lot of doggie tummies thank you too.
Special thanks to the Biscuit Crew of St Francis of Assisi School Who sold home made dog biscuits to raise money to help all the animals at Humane Haven.
And many more thanks to the 4th grade for raising $158.
And to the 6th grade for raising $214.
These contributions mean so so much to our special dogs and cats, without which they could not be saved. Their lives and all their love will happen because of you. What a wonderful thing, and they thank you and love you.
This is Scout Pack #579. They chose HHAS as their service project to collect donations for the HHAS pets. The HHAS pets were happy to get food, litter, a pet bed, bowls and toys. Thanks for all your hard work!
The Montessori School of Lisle All Day Parents are Wonderful! After 20 years at MSOL, Marilou decided to retire. The parents of her students wanted to do something to honor her. Kim, her co-worker extraordinaire, knew of her feeling toward animals. She organized the parents to surprise Marilou on her last day by making a donation to Humane Haven Animal Shelter. Marilou was surprised and overwhelmed. This donation greatly touched her heart. This money will be applied [100%] to the cats' and dogs' medical bills.
These are some wonderful representatives of Den #5, Pack #222 who brought in a huge bag of dog treats that they had purchased for the Humane Haven Shelter dogs. The dogs have sure been enjoying their special treats - yum. Our shelter dogs sure are lucky to have such caring friends. Thanks so much!
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! LAST HHAS UPDATE: 02/28/10 |
